She tried to beg him to pull her up a little higher so she wouldn't be so afraid, but it was like there were rocks pressing down on her heart and lungs. She believes in the basic good of people, and she will fight for that goodness, that light that she knows is inside each and every person. Idealistic, naive, and trusting to a fault, her worldview can sometimes be more of a hindrance than it is helpful, but it isn't something she'll ever relinquish. Her glass is always half-full, and there's always a smile on her face. The feelings of the people around her are more important than her own -- if a fake smile and white lie are what it takes to preserve those feelings, then so be it. For Angel, the Sphere isn't a place that took something precious from her. It's a place for her to find those precious somethings, and an opportunity to make new ones in the process. |
